Our own Phillip Antoniello will have the honor of laying the wreath at the wreath laying ceremony at the Navy Memorial on November 9, 2006. Five of the sixteen surviving "Tokyo Doolittle Raiders" as well as General Doolittle's son will be in Washington D.C. for a brief wreath laying ceremony by the Doolittle Raiders in honor of those who served aboard the USS Hornet. It is the first time the Doolittle Raiders have formally paid their respects to the crew of the USS Hornet at the Navy Memorial. Both Air Force and Navy senior leadership are expected to attend.



Also attending the ceremony will be USS Hornet Association Chairman of the Board, Stewart "Stu" Kerr and USS Hornet Association Secretary, Carl Burket, Marion Antoniello, wife of Phillip Antoniello, Barbara and Jeff Fash, daughter and son-in-law of Phillip Antoniello, Diane Albertson, daughter of Phillip Antoniello, John Greaves, son-in-law of Phillip Antoniello and William Beers, son-in-law of Carl Burket.
